Voluntary Fees

The Clarkson Primary School Board has endorsed the schedule of Contributions and Charges for 2026. The schedule is broken into sections and will allow you to calculate all costs that you might incur throughout the school year.

CONTRIBUTIONS

The total amount of contributions parents/caregivers are being asked to pay has been set at $40.00 per student which is two thirds of that set in the School Education Regulations 2000. Contributions, charges and fees are governed by the School Education Act 1999 sections 97 to 108 and the School Education Regulations 2000 regulations 58 to 66.

While the contributions are voluntary, financial support provided by parents has always played an enabling role in the provision of resources that extend the school's capacity to add value to students' learning experience. Your contribution will be used to supplement school funding for the purchase of resources needed in the provision of the learning program activities for your child. The table below gives you a breakdown of where your voluntary contributions will be directed.

The School Board would like to point out that the contribution per child ($40.00) equates to $1.00 per week over the course of the school year. We also point out that all contributions are used for the direct benefit of the children. Please contact the school office if you would like to arrange a payment plan.

CHARGES FOR EXTRA COST OPTIONAL COMPONENTS

A breakdown of estimated charges for your child’s participation in incursions, excursions, activities, etc has been included in the schedule below. Details on charges collected in previous years have helped guide the 2026 estimate of charges. Students will incur costs only when they are involved in a particular activity. The amounts shown represent the maximum that can be charged for scheduled activities in 2026. You will be asked to make payment for each activity as it approaches. 

The charges schedule includes costs associated with:

• Specific learning activities available to all students, but conditional on a payment being made, eg incursions, excursions.
• Specific learning activities available to selected students, but conditional on a payment being made, eg PEAC, School of Instrumental Music program.
• Optional activities are available to all students, but conditional on a payment being made, eg class photos, graduation shirts, etc.

PERSONAL ITEMS LIST

The list of items for personal use will vary from student to student and includes:

• Individual requirements for all students and used in lessons, eg stationery items, calculator, headphones, diary, etc.
• Personal requirements recommended for all students, eg water bottles, tissues, etc.

The recommended list of items for personal use for your child is distributed separately. All materials can be purchased through Campion; however you are not obliged to use this supplier. Your child will need to have the listed materials each school day so it will be necessary to replace some items, such as pens or pencils, throughout the year.

SCHEDULED MAXIMUM CHARGES

Please note that the amounts indicated on the above schedule represent the maximum that could be charged for scheduled activities and can be paid just prior to the activity.
