Mathematics

Clarkson Primary school has a strong emphasis on Numeracy with all classrooms undertaking a minimum of 2 hours per day in this learning area. Class teachers have strong, planned and evidence based Numeracy blocks that cover each of the components of Numeracy as required by the National curriculum. Clarkson currently uses PR1ME Maths as our whole school program and each class uses the CPS 'Ten A Day' strategy to highlight the importance of Numeracy within our curriculum.

Teacher expectations are high and concepts are explicitly taught on a needs basis and teachers differentiate their planning to cater for the needs of our students. The school is very well resourced and students have access to modern technology to support their learning.
