ICT
ICT (Information & Communications Technology)
Staff and students at Clarkson Primary School have access to various technologies.
Each classroom has an interactive flat panel ViewBoard to support teaching and learning. Teachers are able to greatly enhance the educational programs offered to students by bringing the world into their classrooms through access to the internet.
Students have access to desktop computers, laptops and iPads in their classrooms and specialist areas. All devices are connected to the internet which allows students to share their iPad learning with teachers and peers. The entire school site is connected via the school Wi-Fi network.
Students develop capabilities in using ICT through investigating, communicating and creating using iPads and computers. They use ICT to enhance their learning by conducting research, communicating ideas, creating multimodal presentations and for assessments. They are taught to be responsible digital citizens. All students follow responsible online procedures as per their signed online services account agreement. Failure to do so can result in suspension of these privileges.
